Frequently asked questions
What are your check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 2pm and check-out is by 11am. Early check-in from 12pm is £10 and late check-out at 2pm is £20 subject to availability and must be pre booked.
Do you have parking?
Yes - we have on-site parking right here at the hotel. It's £18 per night, running from 10am on your arrival day until 11am on departure day.
Need a little longer? You can extend your parking for just £8 for the rest of the day - handy if you want to carry on exploring York after you've checked out. (Not available on Saturday mornings.)
In York, secure on-site parking is genuinely hard to come by, so it's one of those things our guests really value.
Can we leave our luggage?
Early arrivals can leave luggage at reception. We offer early room checking from 12pm for £10 extra otherwise rooms are ready from 2pm
Bags can also be left on day of departure till 10pm.
Is breakfast included?
Breakfast is your choice.
Our Hedley House breakfast is available every day. We offer Room only and bed and breakfast rates. You decide what works best for you - breakfast can be added on the morning.
Do you have family rooms?
Yes, we have lots of multi-bed rooms, perfect for groups and families. We also have 2 suites. Bith of these have 2 adjon rooms. Twin beds and the smaller room and a super king or twins in the other. Both suites have shower and toilet.
Are pets allowed?
We do accept dogs in some rooms by prior arrangement and we have some lovely riverside walks close by. We change £15 for pets and pets are not to be left in rooms alone.
Do you have WiFi?
Yes, free high-speed WiFi is available throughout the hotel and apartments.
Do you do Laundry?
Yes we can wash and dry large loads daily. Its £14 per load washed and dried

Yes, We Accept All Groups!
We specialise in school groups as we have so many large multi-bed rooms.
Hen groups LOVE our facilities - hot tub, beauty treatments, sauna, cold plunge not to mention a yogas class, and that garden patio for pre-night-out drinks.
Well-behaved stags love the location - 6 minutes from the station, 10 minutes to the city centre, and secure parking so no one's car gets towed.
Do you provide full-board catering for educational visits?
Yes, we have over 30 years of experience providing cooked breakfasts, packed lunches, and freshly prepared two-course evening meals tailored to school schedules and dietary requirement
