Frequently asked questions
What are your check-in and check-out times?
Check-in at Hedley House Hotel is from 2pm, and check-out is by 11am.
Want a little extra time? We offer:
Early check-in: From 12pm for £10.
Late check-out: Until 2pm for £20.
Both options can be pre-booked, subject to availability.
Arriving early or exploring York after check-out? No problem! You're welcome to leave your luggage with us free of charge, so you can make the most of your day.
Do you have parking?
Yes! We offer on-site, off-street parking at Hedley House Hotel for £18 per night, from 10am on your day of arrival until 11am on your day of departure.
No need to pre-book! We can simply add parking to your booking when you arrive.
How to find our car park:
Use postcode YO30 7AF in your sat nav. Turn left just after St Raphael Guest House to access our car park. Once parked, simply enter the hotel through the rear entrance.
Want to explore York after checking out? You're welcome to leave your car with us for the rest of the day for an additional charge, subject to availability (excluding Saturdays).
Can we leave our luggage?
Early arrivals can leave luggage anytime or park your car from 10am.
Bags can be left on day of departure.
Is breakfast included?
Breakfast is your choice.
Absolutely! Breakfast is available to all guests at Hedley House Hotel, but it's completely optional.
If you've booked Room Only (RO), you can decide each morning whether you'd like breakfast. Wake up hungry? Simply come down and join us!
Guests staying in our apartments are also welcome to enjoy breakfast as an optional extra.
No need to decide in advance. Just see how you feel on the day!
Do you have family rooms?
Yes, we have lots of multi-bed rooms, perfect for groups and families
Are pets allowed?
Yes! We welcome well-behaved dogs in selected rooms by prior arrangement, so please let us know before your arrival.
There are some lovely riverside walks nearby, perfect for exploring York with your four-legged friend! 🐾
We kindly ask that dogs are not left unattended in guest rooms and are kept off the beds and furniture.
